Field Trip to Washington DC

ABC Men Inc. is a non-profit organization that lend hands of support to seniors, the disabled, and youth in need, regardless of race, nationality, religion or creed. As part of our youth/summer program, we expose our youth to educational opportunities such as college visits, volunteer, field trip, etc.

On October 28, 2015, ABC Men Inc. will take its youth on an educational fieldtrip to Washington DC (White House). The purpose of the trip is to educate our youth on how government works, how laws are negotiated, and to interact with various city officials. Our youth will Tour the White House, Both Houses (Senate and House of Representative), and the Supreme Court.

In addition to touring the White House, our youth and staff will walk the National Mall, World War II, Vietnam Veterans, Lincoln, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials, and the Washington Monument .  This opportunity of a lifetime will empower our local youth to reach; for the stars by being productive member of society. Your financial help will make this possible.

ABC Men Inc is currently seeking donation to help with its mission of helping seniors, the disabled and youth in need. We need a new van to help us in our endeavor transport our youth to various educational ventures, pick food for it food pantry, etc.

ABC Men Inc.’s 4th Annual Gift-Away

Through its Adopt-a-family program, ABC Men Inc. adopted 9 families
totaling 36 Individuals. ABC conducted two gift-aways (Dec 23rd and 24th).
Families came, received and wrapped gifts. Much appreciation was
expressed. Special thanks to ABC Men Inc.’s staff, volunteers and everyone
that donated to our Adopt-a-Family program.

ABC Men Inc.’s 4th Annual Youth Career Day

ABC Men Inc collaborated with Agape International Baptist Church and Councilman Kenyatta Johnson to hosted its 4th Annual Youth Career Day. This event was held in the Mayor’s Conference Room at City Hall. This was a successful and empowering event for the youth. Special thanks to all our presenters: Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, Fox 29 News Meteorologist, Scott Williams, KYW 1060 Community Reporter, Cherri Grey, Philadelphia Inquirer Staff Writer Troy Graham, Chief Council to Senator Anthony Williams, Joanne McClinton, Chemical Engineer Christine Holmes, Nurse Practitioner Michele Powell, Social Media Manager Erin Edinger. Harrisburg-State Capital welcomes ABC Men Inc.’s Youth

ABC Men Inc.’s youth went on an educational venture to the State Capital. Youth learn how government works and how laws are negotiated. We sat in a senate session where we were recognized. We toured the House of Representative, The Supreme Court, the Governor’s Conference Room and more. Special thanks to Senator Anthony Williams, Representative Ronald Waters and Governor Tom Corbette’s office.

Youth Appreciation Day / Free Community Event - 2pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 6900 Grover Street. Phila, PA 19142 (James Flanangan Park). Free Food and Basic Back to School Supplies will be given out to school age kids. Register below and arrive by 2pm to guarantee receipt of supplies. RAIN DATE & LOCATION: Sunday, August 31st @ 6848 Elmwood Ave, Phila, PA (Agape Int'l Bapt Church). Be sure to tell others to come and sign up online! Please note: A parent or an adult must be present with children. Supplies will be given to school age kids only and they must be present to receive supplies.
